Welll, actually Lincoln Logs and a Snap-Circuit kit. My son has had the Lincoln Logs for a few years now and played with them sporadically. They recently drew his attention after many other toys were cleared out and put away. But he's the kind of kid who is not satisfied to just play with a toy the way it's intended. So it wasn't long before he came to me with his latest and greatest idea. This one was pretty clever. He decided to take the lightbulb, battery pack and jumper wires from his new Snap-Circuit kit and illuminate his Lincoln Log house. I was pretty impressed that he came up with this idea in its entirety all by himself. It makes me feel less guilty about our relaxed style of schooling. You know, we consider everything from walks around the yard to computer games to contribute in some way to our children's education. I was pleased to see some of the fruits of that. Later in the evening, he determined that non-electrified Legos (those without batteries or engines) were bath tub safe and made a submersible. Ah, the joys of homeschooling.
